Why should I choose Tango Pets?
Tango Pets believes that a healthy dog requires plenty of exercise, training, and affection. When you join Tango Pets you and your dog become part of our pack and family. We cater to your dog’s specific needs and care for them as if they were our own. All of our staff members are animal lovers and are trained to handle specific scenarios so your dogs are always safe and happy.

How do I start using Tango Pets?
You may contact us directly at 917-536-6683 or via email at info@tango-pets.com. We will schedule a meet and greet prior to your first walk to discuss your pet’s specific needs. Please fill out our forms located on the “Forms” tab prior to our meet and greet.

What is your cancellation policy?
As a courtesy, please advise us of your cancellation no later than the beginning of the day, 9:00AM. You can text or call us directly at 917-536-6683. You may also email us at info@tango-pets.com. If a Tango Pets staff member arrives at your home and you have not informed us of any cancellation a $5.00 cancellation fee will be charged. We are flexible, just give us a heads up as soon as you can.

Will I have the same dog walker every time?
For dogs that are walked 3 or more times a week you will have no more than 2 of our staff members walking your dog. We typically send the same walker to tend to your dogs specific need.

How does Tango Pets hire dog walkers?
Our dog walkers get an extensive criminal back ground check and must have experience in handling dogs. We hire the most knowledgeable individuals and provide them with training. Our walkers are trained to handle everyday scenarios, leash training, and whatever training that you want reinforced.

Can we meet the walker before walks begin?
Yes! We require an initial meet and greet prior to your scheduled walk to discuss your dog’s specific needs.

Are you bonded and insured?
Yes, we are fully bonded and insured.

Why should I hire a dog walking service?

Our staff members are thoroughly trained and supervised. We offer a superior level of accountability that one individual person cannot. Your furry partner will always be cared for by a Tango Pets staff member.

Why does Tango Pets charge sales tax? Pet care services operating in New York City are required by law to charge 8.875% sales tax.

What is considered a Holiday? Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year’s Day

Why do you request two sets of keys? One set of keys will be used by a Tango Pets dog walker (keys are returned to our office at the end of each business day) and the second set will be on file in case of an emergency. Keys are labeled with your pet’s first name.

How will I be billed?
Payment is required in advance prior to our service. We accept cash, checks, and Pay-Pal.

Why do you require a 2 hour window?
We try to accommodate every dog’s specific needs and your preferred time. Because our schedules are ever changing and factors such as travel time and availability, a 2 hour window insures that your dog gets walked as close to your requested time as possible.
